Lucio Cillis

Composer & producer

Electro-Dark Contemporary Classic

Born from the raw energy of punk rock in 1978, Lucio Cillis has built one of the most eclectic careers in Italian alternative and electronic music. Starting out as guitarist for Trancefusion and Raff, he quickly made his mark in the late '70s scene before joining La Belle Epoque with disco icon Evelyne Lenton.

By 1979–80, Cillis was collaborating with Lenny Kaye (Patti Smith Group) on landmark Italian sessions and performing with Raff as one of the few bands ever to open for the Ramones (Rome, 1980 — featured in the DVD Raw).

The 1980s brought new horizons: collaborations with Gazebo, guitarist roles for Jo Squillo and Kaos Rock, and major tours with Sharm across Europe, sharing stages with The Woodentops, Everything But the Girl, The Triffids, Cocteau Twins, Tom Robinson Band, and Vasco Rossi. His soundtrack work includes I giorni randagi (Gaumont) alongside Enrico Ruggeri and Sharm.

In 1990, Lucio founded FH Process with Saharo Sorba, releasing Free House — widely recognized as one of the genre's pioneering tracks. The evolution continued with Mosaic At The Opera (albums in 2009 and 2025, both highly streamed) and his current project, Getibonage, which explores the darker edges of electronic and wave-inspired sound.

A restless experimenter and storyteller, Lucio Cillis bridges punk origins, Italo-disco elegance, and forward-looking electronic atmospheres — always proving that innovation and authenticity never go out of style.

"My music takes shape in three distinct directions, each with its own voice and identity"
